Open an Epic and click New story on the toolbar:

In the New story popup, enter a descriptive, brief sentence for the Story name:

If you want to manually draw the Story flowchart and generate Acceptance Criteria later, leave the Generate flowchart and acceptance criteria option turned Off.

To save time, Flowriter can propose a flowchart and build the first draft of the Acceptance Criteria for you based on the Story name.

Click Add and the Story will be added to the Epic, with No Progress status. Click it to open it.

Tips

You can (but don't have to) use Role, Goal, and Benefit style names for Stories (e.g. As a pet owner, I want to see my pet's location history displayed on a map, so that I can see where they have been). A Role, Goal, and Benefit statement will be automatically generated for you in the Acceptance Criteria. It will be based on all the information and logic that you add to the Story flowchart.

Whether you use the Generate flowchart and acceptance criteria option or not when creating a story, you can always manually edit the Story flowchart and re-generate the Acceptance Criteria at any time. You can also have Flowriter generate a new flowchart in a story at any time.
